Dallas Goodlet was told by his parents he was adopted at age 5. At that time, he thought he knew who his biological parents/family were. At age 19, he found out they weren’t his biological family. he had anger problems already from the shame, abandonment he felt from being adopted but when he found out, who he thought, were his birth parents weren’t, his whole life/identity just crumbled and that led to years of reckless behavior of drugs and alcohol abuse, attempted suicides, feelings of being totally worthless. In that time, he never gave up though, never quit.

Natalie Fayman, in a nutshell, in college, her fiancé of 4 years and her went on a backpacking trip with a friend, and he abandoned her by the side of the road 1000 miles from home. It was the most traumatic thing to ever happen to her, but in hindsight she's grateful that it happened. It made her into a much more resourceful and resilient person, and forced her to summon an inner strength she didn’t know she had. Natalie's a much different person today than she would have been if that hadn’t happened.

Ep 206 Amanda Blackwood Shares Her Journey About Human Trafficking
Friday Jun 23, 2023
Friday Jun 23, 2023
When Amanda Blackwood talks on stages about her experiences as a survivor of Human Trafficking, She tries to always inject a sense of humor. The subject matter she talks about can be really heavy and if it's not delivered properly can leave people feeling triggered, traumatized and depressed. She sees this often in the field of work she's in. It's what she lovingly refers to as "trauma vomiting." You get all the bad stuff, and nothing good comes from it. She wants people to feel uplifted, not depressed!
