Carline Crevecoeur from Haiti, her family was not wealthy. She worked various jobs to put herself through college and medical school. After becoming an OB/GYN, she had to quit her job to educate her 5 black children. The reason for leaving her occupation was the development of stage III and later stage IV colon cancer.

Chellie Grossman is a mental health and disability advocate. She has experienced childhood sexual abuse, emotional and physical abuse. She also became physically disabled in a near-fatal car accident. She was left with PTSD and a Traumatic Brain Injury. It took years to re-learn how to live again.

Michelle Bulriss is grateful, positive person, despite experiencing many terrible things. She has lost friends and loved ones. She has experienced an abusive relationship and rape, both more than once. Through everything, Michelle has still tried to grow and look on the bright side. No matter how dark the moment was, she will never take for granted the resilience she has been graced with, the ability to find growth opportunities in defeat, and the ability to find a bright side which, coincidentally, always shone light that revealed the way out. Michelle loves helping people and try to use these experiences to help other victims.
